TNN | Dec 13, 2018, 04:08 ISTMangaluru: Three people were injured, two of whom were stabbed during a clash over a trivial issue on BC Road, Bantwal, late on Tuesday night.
According to police, complainant Mohammed Humsath, Safan and Fayaz were injured during the clash, and are being treated in a hospital.
Around 9.30pm on Tuesday, since it was Humasath’s birthday, he had invited his friends Safan and Fayaz for a party. Another friend Riyan too was present, and he was sitting inside an autorickshaw belonging to Humsath. Riyan had kept his legs on the seat guard which irked Humsath, and he asked Riyan to keep his feet down. Riyan didn’t like being told this which resulted in an altercation, after which he left.
After sometime, Riyan came along with his brother Irfan and others and started assaulting Humsath. When Safan and Fayan attempted to stop the fight, it resulted in them getting stabbed by the attackers.
A case has been registered at the Bantwal Town police station, and an investigation is on.
