Counting of votes for Telangana Assembly elections 2018 began at 8 am on Tuesday, 11 December. All 119 constituencies of the state had gone to polls on 7 December, recording 67 percent voter turnout.

The K Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) is up against the Congress-led grand alliance dubbed the ‘Prajakutami.’

'KCR Will Win Without Support': AIMM Chief Owaisi

K Chandrashekar Rao will become CM and form government without any support AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Monday.

Owaisi’s statement came after the AIMIM chief met with TRS at official residence.

“We’ve made no demands, we’re standing with him not only for a prosperous Telangana but also for nation building,” he said.

Owaisi Meets KCR Day Ahead of Poll Results

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi reached Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao's official residence on his motorbike on Monday, 10 December for a luncheon meeting with him ahead of the declaration of Assembly election results.

Owaisi and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief have been discussing possible scenarios and the strategy to be adopted after the results are known on Tuesday.

Before his meeting with KCR, Owaisi tweeted that he was going to meet Telangana's caretaker and "next Chief Minister"
