The entire second lot of 900 flats in the AP-Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA)’s Happy Nest project at Nelapadu in Guntur district was booked in just about two hours and 10 minutes on Monday due to an impressive public response.
It was aided by the doubling of the server capacity, which was a let-down during the booking of the first instalment of 300 flats exactly a month ago. The online booking began at 9 a.m. and the process of allotment on first-come-first-served basis was over by 11.10 a.m.
According to an official release, 600 flats were booked in the first 15 minutes itself and it went up to 724 in half an hour. Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar went around the facilitation counters set up on the CRDA head office premises in Vijayawada.
He said the tremendous interest evoked by Happy Nest flats reflected the confidence reposed by people on the capital city project and that the CRDA was contemplating coming up with Happy Nest series 2 and 3.
Tenders for construction of the towers would be called in a week and the project completed in 24 months against the 36 months mandated by the Real Estate , Act, 2016, he stated.
