The people of Hyderabad have overwhelmingly supported the TRS this time, going by the trends. The ruling party was leading in eight out 15 constituencies in the Hyderabad segment.

The TRS was leading in Musheerabad, Amberpet, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Secunderabad and Secunderabad Cantonment constituency. The party also established a lead in Goshamahal, where a transperson is contesting for the first time.

The Old City however remains the stronghold of AIMIM. The Majlis party is leading in five constituencies. Akbaruddin Owaisi is all set to represent Chandrayangutta for the fifth consecutive time in the Assembly. The party is leading in Bahadurpura, Yakutpura, Charminar and Malakpet too. In Nampally too, the AIMIM is leading.

Karwan of the Old City has sprung a surprise. The BJP's Amar Singh is leading over his nearest rival Kausar Mohideen of AIMIM by a margin of over 3,000 votes.

The AIMIM has extended its support to the TRS in the constituencies where the party is not contesting.

The elections held in Telangana, especially Hyderabad, was marred by complaints by several voters that their names were not found on the electoral rolls. Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar tendered an apology to the people who missed out the opportunity to cast their votes.
