Wipro gains 2% as its Digital to expand Asia Pacific design capabilities in Australia

Wipro shares gained 2 percent intraday Tuesday after the Digital segment expanded its Asia Pacific design capabilities in Australia.

"It has taken over the strategic design consulting team at Syfte, an Australian design agency which uses human-centred design thinking to solve compelling client challenges," the software services company said in its filing.

Syfte’s team of designers will be absorbed within Designit, Wipro’s strategic design arm.

"It is further strengthening company's design and innovation capabilities, expanding its reach in Australia and Asia Pacific and enhancing the transformation services offered by Wipro Digital," the company said.

Commenting on the expansion, Rajan Kohli, President, Wipro Digital said Australian and Asia Pacific clients can expect a design-led approach to business and engineering transformation from our integrated teams at Wipro Digital and Designit.
