JIND: Without naming Dushyant Chautala and Digvijay Chautala, leader of opposition Abhay Singh Chautala said that the new party formed in Haryana is like a ‘foam of soap’, which can be seen once, but then disappears. Abhay was addressing people at various villages in Kaithal district on Monday during his ‘Jan Adhikar Yatra’.
He further said that those who were claiming themselves as chief minister of the state were initially leaders of the INLD and they got this identification from the party only. If they were not in the INLD, they could not have become even a sarpanch. He said that, “Some of the BJP and Congress leaders misguided them by showing dreams of becoming a CM,” Abhay claimed.
Lashing out at Digvijay and Dushyant, he said that there was a conspiracy to break the INLD, so they have formed the Indian National Student Organisation (INSO) and a different lobby for themselves. Some of them even propagated that I am a ‘gunda’, but my workers and INLD leaders know me very well. I only become angry when someone passes comments on my grandfather and former Deputy PM Devi Lal and my father former chief minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chautala,” Abhay said. “Some people also called me Duryodhan, but I never used foul language against them,” he added.
On local body elections in the five districts, he stated that, “The candidates of BJP are already under fear for contesting local body elections after a few of their candidates refused to contest elections, whereas the Congress has already accepted their defeat by announcing not to contest on the party symbol. He said that if the INLD was voted to power in the state, the government would cancel the e-way bill, hike old-age pension by Rs 3,000 and waive loans to farmers.
The INLD president, Ashok Arora, former minister Rampal Majra and other INLD leaders were present on the occasion.
