PATNA: Weather conditions changed slightly in the state capital on Tuesday under the influence of partly cloudy skies.
The cloud cover led to plunge of around two notches in the day’s maximum temperature as it plunged from 26.4 degrees C recorded on Monday to 24.8 degrees C on Tuesday. The minimum temperature, on the other hand, surged from 11 degrees C recorded on Monday morning to 12 degrees C on Tuesday. Gaya was the coldest place in the state on Tuesday as the minimum temperature there was recorded at 8.4 degrees C.
Weathermen attributed the change in weather conditions to moisture-laden easterly winds coming from the Bay of Bengal. “The moisture under low temperature conditions is leading to formation of hazy skies. Such partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail till December 15 and temperature is expected to remain around the same till then,” said an official at Patna meteorological centre.
