Assembly election results 2018: Counting of votes begins in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram

Counting of votes has begun in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. The results of the assembly election in five states will draw the battle lines between the BJP-led NDA government and the opposition parties led by Congress. The opposition parties are trying to come under one umbrella as Mahagathbandhan ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. Election for the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram - were held in four phase in November and December.
