Commons vote on Brexit Deal to proceed on Tuesday despite reports of delay: Minister

Moscow, The vote on Brexit deal will take place in the House of Commons on Tuesday, as expected, despite some media reports pointing to the contrary, Michael Gove, the UK environment secretary, told the BBC Radio Four broadcaster on Monday.

The Sunday Times newspaper indicated on Sunday that UK Prime Minister Theresa May might postpone the vote on the Brexit deal at the country’s parliament and travel to Brussels to try and hammer out a better agreement.

“Yes … The vote is going ahead,” Gove said, when asked if the vote was definitely going to happen.

The deal has faced strong criticism in the parliament, not only among the opposition, including Labour, but also from the Democratic Unionist Party party backing May’s Conservatives and some members of the ruling party itself.
