National Symposium on Geriatric Care organized in AMU

In his presidential address, Prof Syed Maudood Ashraf, former dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU, emphasised the need for carrying out extensive research in Unani medicine and make efforts to promote evidence-based medicine system.
National Symposium on Geriatric Care organized in AMU Agra: The Department of Moalejat, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a National Symposium on Geriatric Care in Unani Medicine. In his inaugural address, chief guest Dr Mohd Sikandar Hayat Siddiqui, director, Unani Services, UP urged students to practice in Unani system of medicine and provide the patients with an alternative medical solution, which would be cheaper and dependable.

Earlier, organising secretary and chairman of the department, Prof Tanzeel Ahmad, welcomed the guests and highlighted the relevance of geriatrics in today’s scenario. Organizing chairman, Prof Abdul Mannan highlighted the significance of the symposium.
