Name: Janhavee Agrawal
Occupation: Former IT engineer and now online fitness consultant and trainer
Age: 25 years
Highest weight recorded: 80 kilos
Weight lost: 22 kilos
Duration it took me to lose weight: I experienced many fluctuations in my weight loss journey. Initially, it was a roller coaster ride but I dropped 10 kilos in last four months.
The turning point: When I started looking too old for my age. I was 22 but I looked like a 35-year-old lady. That was the big turning point. It was at this time that I decided to work on my health. I decided to work for a better me.
My breakfast: A bowl full of nuts with one cup of bulletproof coffee. Fat is the best fuel for our body, it keeps me going all day long with a sustainable amount of energy.
My lunch: My lunch includes 4-5 whole eggs (omelette/scrambled eggs/boiled) with a bowl full of green vegetables.
My dinner: Same as lunch
I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): Waffles, without a doubt.
My workout: I work out for six days in a week. My workout is a mix of strength training and cardio.
Low-calorie recipes I swear by: I am a person who believes in macronutrients rather than calories.
Fitness secrets I unveiled: Food is your medicine and good nutrition can cure anything.
How do I stay motivated? Living a healthy life is a lifestyle that I have chosen and for which I do not need any motivation.
How do you ensure you don’t lose focus? I don't stress about it. If I feel stressed I will definitely lose focus.
What’s the most difficult part of being overweight? Well, I was happy then and I am happy now. It was just that one day I realised that I needed to be fit, which I was not but now I am.
What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? In 10 years, I will definitely be more strong, with good muscle mass, better endurance and low-fat percentage.
What are the lifestyle changes you made? I make sure whatever I eat is healthy. And most importantly I learned to say NO to the things and people who are not good for my health and well being.
What was the lowest point for you? I don't bother remembering them. Negativity has no place in my life.
Lessons learnt from weight loss: You got one life, one soul, one body. All you need to do is respect and take care of it and sit and relax to see the magic.
