Emergency services are working to free a man trapped inside his truck after it rolled off the Bruce Highway, southbound towards Brisbane.

The man, in his 40s, was trapped inside the truck when it tipped off the highway at Beerburrum just before 3:30pm on Monday.

A teenage boy was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with abdominal and arm injuries.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads said lanes were closed southbound towards Brisbane at 5pm. Long delays are expected.
