MASSA HOLDING FALCON IN ONE HAND WHILST HE STANDS NEXT TO FORMULA E CAR STORY: Felipe Massa geared up for his switch to Formula E with a race against a peregrine falcon, the fastest bird on earth.

Peregrine falcons can reach speeds above 350km/h when it dives through the air, providing the Brazilian Formula E driver with a serious challenge as the two raced through the Saudi Arabia desert.

The Gen2 Formula E car had a lure attached to the back of it and when Massa drove along a highway the falcon was let loose to chase the bait down.

Massa managed to finish the race just before the falcon reach his vehicle.

The new Formula E season starts on Saturday (December 15) at the nearby circuit in Ad Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
