Jasleen Matharu, who got evicted from Bigg Boss 12 this week, entered the show with Bhajan King Anup Jalota as a vichitra jodi. At the launch, the two had claimed that they had been dating for more than three years. But now that Jasleen is out of the show, she has revealed that she only has guru-shishya relationship with Anup. 

When asked to clarify the truth about their relationship, Jasleen told Hindustan Times, "The truth is that there has always been a guru-shishya relationship between us. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Anup Ji had called me on stage by referring to me as his shishya. Since it was a premier show with Salman Khan and Anup ji, I immediately thought of playing a stupid prank. I went on stage and cracked a joke that we were in a relationship since three years and are going in the house as a couple. I thought Anup Ji will react to the joke but he didn’t and in no time Salman sent us into the house. The prank was left incomplete and could not be cleared."

"When Shilpa Shinde came into the house, she told me that the matter has turned into a huge mess. I got afraid and was hurt thinking that Anup Ji has denied having any connection with me. I didn’t know he got so hurt by my prank. A very embarrassing situation appeared for him and for my family. My father was very upset over this. Now I have cleared everything after coming out of the house and all is well," she further added. 

The 28-year-old said in another interview that it wasn't a game-plan and admitted that it all got embarassign after a certain point of time. She also said that she will meet Anup Jalota and apologise to him. 

“We were just playing along all this while. But it really got messy and complicated. It was also quite embarrassing for my parents and Anupji’s family. When he came on the show again to meet me, I was numb. My reactions might have been misleading but I was too happy to see him. After being on the show for so long, you crave for support. I had decided I would talk and clear it all out once I am out. I will also meet Anup ji and apologise to him," Jasleen told Indian Express. 

When asked about the moments of affection the two shared in the house, and the date sequence, Jalota earlier revealed on Aap Ki Adaalat that it was all scripted, and that his relationship with Jasleen has always been fatherly.

In the house, it was also mentioned that she was in a relationship with playback singer Sukhwinder Singh. When asked if it's true, Jasleen told Times of India, "Sukhwinder is a family friend and Anupji has misunderstood our equation if he said that we are in a relationship then or now. Sukhwinder has been a friend for the last six years. These are all baseless rumours. In fact, the other day I heard that Honey Singh and I were having an affair, which is totally false."

Jasleen also clarified that she would never marry an older man.
