AURANGABAD/PATNA: Union minister and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha on Saturday said the suspense over his continuance in the NDA would be over in a few days. The assembly election results of the five states will be announced on December 11 and the winter session of Parliament is scheduled to begin the same day. Incidentally, the meetings of NDA and UPA partners are scheduled to be held in Delhi on December 10.
Kushwaha was speaking during a fast he observed at Deokund in Aurangabad district alleging that the Nitish Kumar government did not allot land for the two central schools sanctioned by the Centre at Karakat and in Nawada. Deokund is in the Karakat constituency which Kushwaha represents in the Lok Sabha. He said despite the availability of land, the state government had been sitting on the proposal.
The party at its national and state executive committee meetings held at Valmikinagar on December 4 & 5 authorized Kushwaha to take the alliance-related decision. The RLSP has not been finding itself in comfort zone in Bihar NDA comprising also the JD(U), BJP and LJP, as the differences over seat-sharing for the 2019 parliamentary elections have not been resolved. Kushwaha also has strained relation with CM Nitish Kumar, who heads the JD(U).
Kushwaha said the Nitish government was a big obstacle in development of the state. “Education does not find important place in the agenda of the state government,” Kushwaha alleged, adding that he had sanctioned two central schools, one each in Karakat and Nawada, that is represented by Union minister Giriraj Singh.
