Wrexham claimed a 2-0 win at home over Eastleigh to close the gap on National League leaders Leyton Orient and Salford.

James Jennings and Bobby Grant were both on target as the Dragons snapped a four-game winless run.

Here Post sport writer Rob Griffiths runs his eye over the Dragons showing.

Rob Lainton

Rarely tested, enjoyed a comfortable afternoon. 7

Kevin Roberts

Played on despite injuring his knee in a 50-50 with Reda Johnson, was his usual reliable self before later being forced off with an ankle injury. 7

Manny Smith

Welcome back Manny. The centre-half made his first appearance since injuring his knee in August, and slotted back in perfectly in seamless fashion. 7

Jake Lawlor

Forged a solid partnership with Smith, was rarely troubled at the back with a composed showing. 7

James Jennings

Scored a rather fortuitous opener, but was solid at the back throughout, and went close to adding a second. 7

Akil Wright

Guilty of missing three first half chances, but was a driving force for the Dragons in middle. 7

Mark Carrington

Composed showing in the middle, before moving to right-back as cover for stricken Roberts. 7

Luke Summerfield

Intelligent showing from the midfielder, kept Wrexham ticking over and was defensively solid. 7

Paul Rutherford

Lively showing, linked up well to create space for Jennings to score the opener, and played a perfectly weighted ball for Bobby Grant to open his account. 8

Bobby Grant

Took his goal with a level of composure, but struggler otherwise to find any openings against the Spitfires back three. 7

Stuart Beavon

Worked tirelessly, was lucky Rutherford was alert to turn his pass into a goal for Grant, but should have found the back of the net himself with a header. 7

Luke Young (on for Roberts on 51)

Busy showing just as Eastleigh were beginning to find their footing in proceedings. 6

Chris Holroyd (on for Beavon on 81)

No time to have any impact. 5

Mike Fondop (on for Grant on 90)

No time to have any impact. 5
