Hotel Northland announced the opening of the Poke the Bear restaurant at 304 N. Adams St. while the hotel is still under renovation.
The hotel says instead of the usual sports bar celebrating sports teams and players, Poke the Bear will celebrate Packers fans. It will have 16 local beers on tap and serve Wisconsin Old Fashioneds muddled. The food menu promises “amazingly good” dishes for burger and salad lovers. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays serving lunch, dinner and cocktails. Hours will expand in 2019. Hotel Northland later plans to offer elegant dining in its Walnut Room. The 160-room hotel is currently accepting reservations for rooms and events for next year.
The Hotel Northland is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection of boutique hotels.
