George Burgess is one of the most high-profile NRL players.

And it seems not even he can beat the Sydney property slump, with the Rabbitohs star and wife Joanna selling their Little Bay apartment for $1.35 million recently, the exact price they paid for it back in 2015.  

The Daily Telegraph reports the pair struggled to sell their Sydney penthouse after purchasing it off-the-plan.

The pad features two bedrooms with terrace access and floor-to-ceiling doors.

The apartment's terrace wraps around the length of the home and is perfect for entertaining. 

The publication reports that George and brothers Sam and Tom all bought off-the-plan apartments from developer Illume.

George and Joanna first listed the modern pad on the market for $1.45 million - $1.5 million, before selling for $1.35 million.   

They listed the home with the assistance of George's former South Sydney Rabbitohs team mate Beau Champion, who is now a real estate agent. 

The publication also reported that Tom Burgess planned to move into his $1.405 million pad with partner Tahlia Giumelli.
