Tips given to Cong candidates; complain at Helpline in case of any irregularity
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Congress is very careful this time. Tips were given to Congress candidates at Manas Bhavan regarding counting. They were told to file complaint at Helpline in case any irregularity in counting is detected.
The polling agents were told to be present till the counting is finally over. About 700 people were present during the training, including all 229 Congress candidates.
On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Dr Rajendra Singh, former union minister Suresh Pachauri, Sanjay Kapoor, Sudhanshu Tripathi, Congress Media Department in-charge Shobha Ojha and others were present.
Congress MP Vivek Tankha also addressed the candidates and said that a team of expert lawyers is keeping close watch on the election. He said timing is important and asked candidates to ensure they note down all particulars like time of opening machines, counting of postal ballots, cross checking of VVPAT slips and tabulation sheets with utmost care. Tankha informed Congress candidates about various minute technicalities of law.
Tankha gave necessary tips on how the candidates should remain alert during the time of counting and what are other necessary things on which they need to be extra cautious.
On counting day, you need to be extra alert. In the event of any doubt, you need to register strong protest and it is after solution only that vote counting should be allowed further, Tankha said.
Madhya Pradesh Congress in-charge Deepak Babaria told that under able leadership of Kamal Nath, Congress worked like a good team during assembly elections. He hoped that Congress will definitely form next government in the State.
Party state chief Kamal Nath strictly asking all candidates to switch off their mobile phones. This was seen as a precaution to the leaked video of Nath addressing Muslim workers of the party, which was much publicised by the BJP. At the same time, Nath also reminded the candidates and party members to remain united. Ajay Singh, LOP, was also present in the meeting.

Nath said that Congress has demanded the Election Commission that result sheet should be provided after every round with signatures of returning officer and candidates. It is after this only that second round of counting should be allowed. You all should have full knowledge of vote counting process and know your rights as well, he added.
He told that the biggest thing is this that this time, Congress showed its unity in full-fledged manner. He asserted that Congress is going to create a new history in Madhya Pradesh on December 11.
