Exit polls predict TRS government in Telangana

NEW DELHI: All the exit polls have predicted a comfortable win for KCR-led TRS in Telangana.

According to the poll of polls, TRS is expected to win 66 seats in 119-state assembly, Congress and its allies will get 39 seats while the BJP will get 5 seats. Other parties are predicted to win 9 seats in the state.

Exit poll results

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will get 66 seats while Congress and its allies will get 37 seats, according to the Times Now-CNX exit poll.

According to the India TV exit polls, TRS is expected to get 79-91 seats while as the Congress+ will get 21-33 seats. BJP is expected to get 1-3 seats and the AIMIM will get 4-7 seats in the state.

According to the CVoter exit poll, TRS is getting 48-60 seats, Congress+ is getting 47-59 and other parties are expected to get 1-13 seats.

According to Jan Ki Baat exit polls, TRS is predicted to get 5-65 seats while the Congress+ will get 38-52 seats. Other parties are expected to get 9-14 seats.


According to News X-NETA exit polls, TRS will get 57 seats, while the Congress and its allies will get 46 seats. The BJP is expected to get 6 seats while other parties will get 10 seats in the state.


The assembly has 119 seats which means the TRS can form the government on its own in the state, according to the exit polls.


As many as 1,821 candidates including a transgender are in the fray for the elections.


The Congress has stitched together 'Praja Kutami' (People's Front) along with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) and the Communist Party of India (CPI) to take on the ruling TRS, which is seeking a second term in office. The TRS is going alone in the polls, so is the BJP.
