Cesare Prandelli appointed new head coach at Genoa

Prandelli, 61, arrives at Genoa after his spell with the United Arab Emirate's that ended on January 19.

The veteran Italian coach has managed several teams during his career, including Spain's Valencia, Turkish side Galatasaray, Italian clubs of Fiorentina, AC Parma, Hellas and Atalanta, in addition to the Italian national team between 2010-14.

Currently, Genoa is in the lower half of the Italian top-tier league, holding the 14th spot overall with just 15 points in 14 matches, having scored 19 goals and conceded 29.
