The state is still recovering from a devastating wildfire which killed dozens of people last month and now faces a severe storm.

Some roads turned into fast-flowing rivers, and traffic ground to a halt in other places because of snow.

Now thousands of people have been told to leave their homes again because of the danger of landslides in areas previously damaged by the recent wildfire known as the Camp Fire.
