Man on run for decade produced before court
TNN | Dec 8, 2018, 04:54 ISTMangaluru: The Mangaluru City North police produced a person accused in a cheating case that took place a decade ago before the court on Friday.
The accused is Mohammed Rafiq Beary, 38, a resident of Ucchila in Udupi.
An officer from Panbambur police station said the case pertains to illegal transportation of mining materials. According to the officer, Rafiq was caught illegally transporting mining materials from the city to other parts of the state by changing the number plate of vehicles. Rafiq had fled abroad after committing the crime, the officer said, and added that the police was gathering more details pertaining to the case.
