Dylan Walker's Miss Universe fiancee is recovering with her parents after her footy star boyfriend allegedly assaulted her.

Alexandra Ivkovic, 24, was allegedly assaulted on Thursday, months after she gave birth to the child of Mr Walker.

Manly Sea Eagles chief executive Lyall Gorman told the Sydney Morning Herald he had spoken to Ms Ivkovic four times since the incident.

'She’s in good care with her mum and dad,' he said.

'It’s a little bit early to make too much comment other than to express great disappointment on behalf of our club.'

Ms Ivkovic, who gave birth to couple's son in July, was a finalist in the Miss Universe Australia competition in 2014.

On Friday, Gorman said Ms Ivkovic's welfare was the club's top priority.

'The allegations around domestic violence are totally foreign to anything we stand for to our culture and values, as of course as it is to the game of rugby league holistically.'

Walker has been charged with domestic-related common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Just after 5pm on the day of the incident, emergency services were called to an address in Dee Why, on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Ms Ivkovic was allegedly assaulted and was treated for minor cuts to her shoulder, leg and feet.

Officers from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command arrested Walker, who was taken to Manly Police Station.

Northern Beaches police area commander, Superintendent Dave Darcy confirmed a bystander had witnessed the alleged assault.

The NRL premiership winner with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2014 was granted conditional bail.

His future with the Sea Eagles is up in the air, with the club expected to consult the NRL's integrity unit.

The governing body has the power to sanction the rugby player or wait for the outcome of the legal process.

Gorman said it was far too early to make a decision and that he would wait until all the facts were brought forward.

This is not the first time Walker has ended up on the wrong side of the media.

He and a former Souths teammate Aaron Gray came near death in 2015 after an overdose of prescription drugs.

One season later, Walker copped a $10,000 for punching a door and injuring his hand.

His club issued a statement at the time and said he acted out of 'frustration and stupidity'.

Walker will not be required to show up to training before the matter is taken to court.

Walker is set to appear in Manly Local Court on Tuesday, December 11.

The Manly Sea Eagles player and Ms Ivkovic will appear in court on Tuesday after she took out an apprehended violence order against him.
