Asda and Sainsbury's have announced they will cut the price of petrol - again.
Effective from Saturday 8 December, Asda customers will benefit from 2p per litre off unleaded and diesel, following continued decreases in the wholesale cost.
The retailer's new price means that drivers across the country will pay no more than 114.7ppl on unleaded and 125.7ppl on diesel.
It is the sixth price drop from Asda, with petrol at 127ppl in September.
Sainsbury’s is also slashing the price of unleaded petrol and diesel by up to 2 pence per litre.

As of tomorrow, Saturday 8 December, Sainsbury’s is cutting the price of unleaded petrol and diesel by up to 2p per litre across its 314 forecourts, providing great value for millions of motorists across the UK.
David Pegg, fuel buying manager for Sainsbury’s, said: "In this busy festive season we’re doing all we can to help our customers live well for less and this is why we have decided to lower fuel prices for the fifth week in a row."
