Rohit Sharma is a big hitter, such a big one that even a fielder cannot hold the ball even after catching his shot. Although Rohit could not achieve big with the bat in his Test comeback against Australia in Adelaide Test, the right-handed batsmen played some amazing shots which were true to the title of ‘Hitman’ given to him.

One such shot was played during Nathan Lyon’s 37th over, when Rohit hit a high shot over deep square leg and it turned into six even after reaching fielder’s hand. Actually, the fielder Marcus Harris took the catch at deep square leg but could not disconnect the ball from his hands before reaching the boundary. He took the catch while running towards the boundary and tried to evade six by throwing the ball inside the field before crossing the boundary line. Harris, however, could not throw the ball back in time and the shot became six even after getting caught by the Australian fielder.

Have a look at the video below to watch what exactly happened.

Rohit scored 37 runs before getting out on Nathan Lyon’s bowling in the 37th over. He smashed three sixes in his short innings. He was the second highest scorer among Indian batsmen after Cheteshwar Pujara (123) after the first day’s play. India ended day 1 at 250/9.
