Udhna PI suspended for negligence

Surat: A police inspector was suspended and seven others were transferred for administrative reasons in the city by police commissioner Satish Sharma on Thursday. A P Parmar, PI of Udhna police station, was suspended on an order from the office of director general of police.

Multiple raids by different agencies of police, including state monitoring cell (SMC) of DGP office, had led to seizure of liquor in the past 15 days. “In the past 15 days, four raids were carried out by police teams and liquor was seized. Local police were found negligent. The DGP office had ordered suspension of the PI after a recent raid by the SMC,” Sharma said.


F B Pathan, PI of Ichhapore police station, was transferred to Udhna police station in place of Parmar. M I Pathan was shifted to Ichhapore police station from traffic branch and another traffic branch PI, M B Khileri moved to Khatodara police station.


M M Puwar of Khatodara police station was transferred to traffic branch. D S Korat, PI of Hazira police station, was shifted to Amroli police station. From Amroli, G A Patel was shifted to airport. R R Aahir, PI of airport, was transferred to Hazira police station.
