Dog makes fantastic save, acts guest goalkeeper in football match
As two football teams - Juventus Unida de Gualeguaychu and Defensores de Belgrano - were playing the third tier of their match in Argentina, a little dog ran into the court just in time to make a goalline save for Belgrano. The crowd, and players themselves were left amused by the dog and its stunt, particularly because it saved a goal that even the goalkeeper didn’t foresee. Although the dog proved itself worthy of the title ‘man’s best friend’, Belgrano ended up losing the match 0-3 to Juventus.
Unique ‘handprint’ autographs of Sumo wrestlers spark awe
After old-school signatures were taken over by selfies as the new version of autographs, people are now taken with the ‘handprints’ – gigantic prints of hands on paper – by Sumo wrestlers. A video of the wrestlers dipping their hands in ink and placing it on paper quite speedily emerged, and folks on Twitter are in love with the sequence. Chloe, a Twitter user, noted coming across such a handprint and claimed that “both hands and even a foot” fit inside that particular print!
Harvard Professor gets caught up in Twitter storm over junk food preference
Eric Rimm, professor, departments of epidemiology and nutrition at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health tweeted about preferring ‘six fries’ over a plate of fries as a side to main dishes. The tweet went viral and many news sources picked up on it citing it as ‘advice to restaurants from a Harvard professor.’ Finding all of this hilarious, he said “I was just confused about whether or not I should send the fries back as they just come as a side, or eat them and gain weight just so I don’t waste food!”
