Women entrepreneurs set to showcase products, services
Dec 7, 2018, 00:36 ISTCoimbatore: More than 100 women entrepreneurs from across the state are expected to showcase their brands and products at ‘Diya’ a three-day women entrepreneurs’ empowerment expo to be held at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex from Friday.
The expo will be organised by the Indian Women Network (IWN), a forum of women entrepreneurs under the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Women entrepreneurs, who offer products and services in diverse sectors such as manufacturing, retail, food, jewellery and clothing will exhibit more than 100 stalls, said Sangeetha Ashwin, convener of IWN Coimbatore zone. “Of the 100-odd stalls, 45 will be by women entrepreneurs from the city, while the rest by women entrepreneurs from other districts. The expo will facilitate both business-to-business and business-to-consumer prospects for women entrepreneurs.” On the sidelines of the expo, sessions on building brands and business strategies by experts, in addition to cookery classes and entertainment programmes will be held, said Srividya Lakshmi, co-convener of IWN.
