Ashiana Housing case: Shahbaz Sharif sent to judicial remand

An accountability court here on Thursday sent Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to eight-day judicial remand in connection with the scheme case.

The court order came after the (NAB) requested an extension of Sharif's physical remand. However, the court turned down the NAB request and sent him to judicial custody. Sharif will be again produced in the court on December 13, reported.

Sharif, who was arrested by the NAB on charges of misusing authority and corruption in the Rs 14 billion Scheme during his tenure as the Chief Minister (2013 to 2018), had been in physical remand since October 5.

His remand was extended many times in the span of past two months. It was last extended on November 28.
