3 men held for attacking Tasmac staff

Tirupur: Three men were arrested for allegedly attacking a Tasmac employee in the city on Monday.

The accused were identified as G Manikandan, T Premkumar, and M Kali raj. They consumed liquor at a Tasmac shop on SV Colony-PN Road in the city on Sunday night, said a police officer.


The trio failed to pay after having soft drinks. When an employee of the Tasmac shop, M Srinivasan, asked for money, the trio abused him with filthy language and went away without paying for it, said the officer.


They returned to the shop on the next day and attacked Srinivasan with weapons. The Tirupur north police booked a case and arrested them.
