Kyle Sandilands, 47, has called in sick more than a dozen times this year due to ongoing health woes.

And now his girlfriend, Imogen Anthony, 26, has lashed out at several fans criticising the KIIS FM host for his constant absence from the airwaves.

The self-proclaimed 'loud mouth' took to Instagram on Sunday and labelled fans 'disgusting' after they asked whether Kyle would be present for Kyle and Jackie O show's last week of the year.

On user sarcastically wrote: 'Doesn't Kyle actually have to turn up to work first sometime during the year to be entitled to holiday leave?'

Imogen furiously replied: 'He was sick, stop being rude.'

Another fan joked: 'I guess when you make $20 million it's exhausting to turn up to work.'

Imogen responded: 'Wow, you really are just that ignorant, small minded bitter follower with f*** all understand of how things work. You're disgusting.'

She later explained that Kyle 'gets upset when listeners are upset when he hasn't been able to help how he feels and hasn't made it in... .'

Also on Sunday, the outspoken exhibitionist told critics 'my mans (sic) health comes before your entertainment' in a lengthy rant.

'... Do you know what pi**es me off? People that don't understand that Kyle is a real human and can get sick too - god forbid he takes anytime to f****n heal himself,' she wrote.

'... Sorry, but my man's health comes before your entertainment. Chest infections and pollen circulating leads to coughing and sneezing which therefore leads him to migraines.

She continued: '... The insulting people CAN go f*** themselves... .'

Kyle raised eyebrows in September after taking at least six days off work in a two-week period.

He addressed his health issues upon his return to the Kyle and Jackie O show, telling listeners that he was suffering from migraines as a result of sleep apnoea.
