Armed cops discovered an axe and four knives after swooping on a person in Rhyl .
Officers descended on the town overnight after reports that threats were being made to somebody and discovered the large haul of weapons.
Police said that a person was now in custody in connection with the incident.
On Twitter, the region's Alliance Armed Policing Unit said: "Excellent work by the central North Wales Police ARV arresting subject in possession of these weapons in Rhyl following reports of threats being made.
"Now being dealt with by colleagues in custody."

The incident is the latest in a series in Rhyl which has seen armed officers descend on the town.
Last week, the unit were called to West End News in Wellington Road after a man with a "handgun" attempted to rob the newsagents.
He fled empty-handed after his demands for money from the till were unsuccessful and made his way on foot towards Warren Road.

And a few days earlier, armed officers swooped on a vehicle in the town and found a plastic gun and quantity of drugs.
In a separate incident last night, armed officers stopped a vehicle in Northop and arrested a motorist on suspicion of drink driving after they provided a roadside reading of 142 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
