Two leaves bribery case: Dhinakaran signs copy of charges farmed against him

(AMMK) leader and RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran on Tuesday appeared in the to sign the copy of charges farmed against him in the two leaves bribery case.

On November 17, the court charged Dhinakaran and three others under sec 120B (Criminal conspiracy) and 201 (destruction of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) read with section 8 of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.

Dinakaran, who is currently on bail, was not present in the court during the last hearing and was asked by the court to appear today.

The in its charge-sheet had alleged that middleman Sukesh Chandrasekar had conspired with TTV Dhinakaran and others to bribe the officials to get the two leaves symbol for Sasikala led (AIADMK) faction.

Of the nine accused in the case, charges have been framed against four including Dhinakaran, while five have been discharged. The court has fixed December 17 to December 22 for the recording of evidence in the matter.
