
BJP leader stabbed to death in Lucknow
Lucknow: A Bharatiya Janata Party leader was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
The deceased was identified as Pratyush Mani Tripathi. He was attacked in the mahanagar area of Lucknow. Tripathi was 34 years old.
Tripathi was left bleeding on the roadside after the assailants attacked him. He was immediately taken to King George Medical College (KGMU) where he was declared dead.

After few hours of the incident, hundreds of his supporters started protesting outside the hospital, raised anti-police slogans and demanded the immediate suspension of Lucknow Senior Superintendent of Police Kalanidhi Naithani.
The agitating crowd alleged that Tripathi had informed the district police chief about threats to his life and asked for security but the request was not paid heed to.

It is to be mentioned that earlier a local Bharatiya janata party (BJP) leader was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in Chhapra city of Sarn district in Bihar.
