Sushma Swaraj holds parleys with UAE counterpart, Both sides ink crucial pacts

Seeking to explore new vistas of enhanced cooperation and collaboration between two sides, India and UAE on Tuesday signed and adopted the Agreed Minutes of the Joint Commission Meeting (JCM).

The pact was signed after high level talks between two sides led by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Foreign Minister of UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“Institutional mechanisms guiding the multifaceted cooperation,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar said.

Two documents signed were- Agreement on Currency Swap and MoU for Development Cooperation in Africa.

“Exploring new vistas for collaboration. Following the India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting, EAM Sushma Swaraj and Foreign Minister of UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed and adopted the Agreed Minutes of the JCM,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Later Ms Swaraj and Foreign Minister of UAE arrived at the launch of Gandhi-Zayed Digital Museum that celebrates the life and legacy of the visionary leaders.
