Ornaments looted from Jharkhand temple

A gang of dacoits have looted ornaments estimated to be valued at Rs 1 crore from the Sri Dadi Mandir here in district, police said on Monday.

Around eight armed dacoits confined the on Sunday night and took away ornaments including gold chains, silver umbrellas, silver padukas, ear rings, nose rings, and gold bangles studded with diamond.

The dacoits, who have hidden some silver ornaments in mud under a road bridge, was recovered, police said adding that a hunt was launched to apprehend the culprits.
