Taiwanese device maker Asus announced it will be unveiling its latest mid-range smartphone ZenFone Max Pro M2 on December 11 in India along with Indonesia. The device succeeds the ZenFone Max Pro M1 which was launched in 2017.
The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The e-tailer has already hosted a dedicated webpage for its launch. ZenFone Max Pro M2 has been subject to massive leaks for several weeks thanks to its illustrious predecessor, the ZenFone Max Pro M1.
To recall, ZenFone Max Pro M1 garnered rave reviews from tech pundits and users alike. With the M2, Asus is upping the ante in the mid-range smartphone segment by several notches. The company has promised best in class features such as the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for screen durability, the fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in the segment, best-in-class Sony sensor for photography and largest capacity battery, which the company claims can power the device for more than two days.
ZenFone Max Pro M2 expected price and specs
Asus has remained tight-lipped about the smartphone. However, reports suggest that the Max Pro M2 could be launched in multiple RAM/storage variants with prices slightly higher than its predecessors.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.3-inch IPS LCD notch-display with thin bezels at the bottom. The smartphone could come powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor. The device may come in 4GB/6GB RAM variants with storage options of 64GB and 128GB.
An image released by the company reveals the phone sports a dual camera setup with Sony sensors. It is expected to feature with 12MP + 5MP shooters. At the front, the smartphone is speculated to come with a 13MP. The device may sport a large 5000mAh battery and may run on Android 8 Oreo out-of-the-box.
