KURUKSHETRA: Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jai Bhagwan Sharma, who had announced his resignation from the party on November 23, on Monday organised an Insaf Rally to show his support to Dushyant Chautala in Kurukshetra. Thousands of people had gathered in the rally where Sharma also presented Dushyant as chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming state assembly elections.

Addressing the gathering Sharma said, “In a recent survey, UK-based global policy platform for public servants ‘Apolitical’ has featured Dushyant Chautala among influential young people in the world. He ranked 29th on the list. Here the gathering is like a small ‘ Kumbh’ and in Jind we show a large one. There is no match of this young leader anywhere in India.”

Taking a dig at the BJP, Dushyant said, “The upcoming rally in Jind will change the course of Haryana politics. The BJP had promised 1.25 lakh jobs every year. Where are those jobs? They promised ease of doing business to businessmen and traders, but instead left them dealing with a complex taxation system. They promised to double farmer income, but the actual state of farmers is known to everyone. The ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign has also failed as the incidents like rapes and crimes against women in Haryana are worst than even Bihar. Why 17 lakh applicants had to apply for 18,000 group D jobs? Why the traders are being forced to tackle complex system of taxation and where is the ease of doing business? Why Haryana Roadways is being weakened and being handed over to Gujaratis? Where is the welfare of the farmers?”

Talking about forming alliance, Dushyant said, “We will only form an alliance with the public of Haryana and will look forward if any party matches our ideology. We will work to create such an environment that by 2019 there is a change to better the situation in the state. Some of the INLD leaders were stating that we are lying that their workers have not left the party to join us, but the truth is those workers are standing here today, they must not lie on religious land of Kurukshetra.”
