Share market update: Realty shares bullish; Godrej Properties surges nearly 5%
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.92 per cent up at 236.45 on Monday with most of its components trading in the green.
Shares of Godrej Properties (up 4.92 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 4.17 per cent), Sunteck Realty (up 2.98 per cent) and Sobha (up 2.78 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Brigade Enterprises (up 2.08 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 0.89 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.83 per cent) too were trading with gains.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20.15 points at 10,856.6 while BSE Sensex was down 50.04 points at 36,144.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Sun Pharma, Ashok Leyland, Idea Cellular, Vedanta, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, BHEL, Tata Steel and Motherson Sumi were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
