JALANDHAR: Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu appeared least inclined to tender an apology to chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh even as the chorus for action against him grew louder on Sunday. As more Punjab ministers hit out at Sidhu, demanding that he apologize to Captain and 'learn how to respect elders', he told TOI: "I have not said anything wrong."
It is learnt that he told mediating leaders that he had referred to Amarinder as a fatherly figure and had said nothing objectionable. Campaigning in Rajasthan on Sunday, he said, "I live in the space where mind is without fear and head is held high."
On Friday, while responding to a query at a Hyderabad press conference about Captain Amarinder Singh declining the Pakistan invite and also asking him not to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor, Sidhu had said, "Which Captain are you talking about? ... Oh Captain Amarinder Singh. He is an army captain, my captain is Rahul Gandhi. His captain is also Rahul Gandhi."
