GURUGRAM: Enmity between two groups of bouncers took an ugly turn on Sunday when one group shot at the other in the car parking lot behind Huda Gymkhana Club in Sector 29.
According to the complainant, Vipin, along with three of his friends, reached the parking lot behind the Gymkhana Club around 1am.

The accused — Amit — was already present there with five of his friends. On seeing Vipin, Amit pulled out a pistol from his pocket and fired three shots at the group.

“We were lucky as none of the bullets hit us and we managed to escape with minor injuries. We immediately placed a PCR call but the accused fled the spot before cops reached there,” Vipin said in his police complaint.

Police recovered two bullet shells from the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. They were later discharged after first-aid.

An FIR was registered against Amit and his friends under IPC sections 307 (murder attempt), 34 (common intention) and Section 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at the Sector 29 police station.

“The complainant informed us that there had been clashes between the two groups earlier, as well. Initially, differences had cropped up between the two groups over who would get the contract of a certain pub. Both Amit and Vipin head security agencies that provide bouncers to pubs in the city. The accused are at present on the run, but we are conducting raids and are confident that they would be arrested soon,” said sub-inspector Sandeep Kumar, who is investigating the case.
