Three senior officials of Philips Healthcare India were arrested here on Monday in connection with a fraud in repair of scanning machine.
According to a complaint lodged at the Thrissur East Police station in 2016 by a private scanning centre here, the officials installed old spare parts during service of scanning machine and charged the price for new parts. The arrested were R. Subrahmanian, Director, Chennai, of Philips HealthCare; U. Sunil, Head of Customer Care, Chennai and Ramkumar, Kerala Territory Manager.
So far, four officials have been arrested in this case. The police had earlier arrested Joseph Sebastian, Kerala Deputy Manger of Philips Medical Systems. Spare parts of a scanning machine from another hospital in Thrissur were installed in the machine claiming they were new.
