Youngsters from Assam kill selves in Pollachi
Dec 4, 2018, 00:38 ISTCoimbatore: A 19-year-old man and his 18-year-old girlfriend from Assam, who were working in a private poultry farm in Pollachi, committed suicide on Monday.
Police identified them as Mithinga Narzary, son of Purnanarzary of Sanitpur district in Assam and Romala Brahma, daughter of Amiyobrahma of Kokrajhar district. “They had fell in love while working in the farm. After coming to know about their affair, their parents had called them to their native places, assuring that they would conduct their marriage. But the youngsters suspected that the parents would separate them and committed suicide by hanging,” a police officer said.
Pollachi police retrieved the bodies and sent them for post mortem. Further investigation is on. TNN
