Aurangabad records lowest temperature in the State

Pune: The State ushered in winter with a drop in minimum temperature. On Sunday, the lowest minimum temperature recorded in the State was 10.8 degrees Celsius in Aurangabad. 

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be gradual climatological fall in minimum temperatures across the country in the coming days.

Pune recorded a minimum temperature of 12.1 degrees Celsius owing to cool breeze experienced in the city. The day temperature recorded in the city was 30.1 degrees Celsius.

Speaking to Sakal Times, Pune-based IMD officials stated that the reduction of day temperature in the city is due to cooler winds from the north.

The weather in the State will remain dry till December 6.

The IMD also forecasted that the weather in Pune city will remain clear with night temperature hovering around the 12-degree Celsius mark in the coming week.

Hissar in Haryana recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the country with the mercury dropping to 6.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday, with IMD reporting moderate fog at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The IMD has forecasted that fresh easterly wave activity is likely to commence from December 3 and enhance the rainfall over South Peninsular India from December 4. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Coastal Tamil Nadu on December 4 and over North Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka on December 5.
