Rajkot: Two thieves who had burgled a house in Dwarka were arrested with the stolen booty in Jamnagar on Sunday. The accused were identified as Gopal Chauhan and Manoj Parmar, both residents of Dwarka.

“We arrested the accused after receiving tip-off that two women had come to Jamnagar Chandi Bazaar to sell off the stolen booty. Chauhan and Parmar had sent the women to dispose of the booty. We caught Parmar’s wife Rina Parmar and her relative Takhi Vaghela who took us to the accused duo leading to their arrest,” said R A Dodia, inspector of Jamnagar local crime branch.

The burglars told cops that they had broken into the house of Deva Bujhad and took away gold and silver jewellery, worth Rs 3.72 lakh. “We have been able to recover gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 3.09 lakh from the accused,” added Dodia.
