Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tiger Shroff will also join the athletes today in the Run Bhopal Run-2018 event. The run aims to make people aware about organ donation. Apart from celebrities and other athletes who will run with an aim to win a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, there are others who are here to motivate other people. They will run today with an aim to motivate people to run, to stay fit, to aware people about organ donation and also to promote sports and athletics among people.
Praveen Sapkal
1st Ironman of MP, who once had multiple health issues, will run today for the cause. He has been a brand ambassador for many marathon events. This year he celebrated the Independence Day by running barefoot in 65 km Tiranga Run in Indore. He has also finished India’s toughest marathon- Ladakh Marathon by running 42 km barefoot.
Pradip Mondal
Pradip Mondal is an ultra-marathon runner and tri-athlete. He has finished 9 official ultra marathons so far. He also ran non-stop 24 hours in Mumbai. Last month he has successfully completed one of the grueling ultra-marathon in the hills of Mahabaleshwar where he ran 50 km in 6.2 hours. He has also finished several full and half marathons all across India. He is also an endurance cyclist and a tri-athlete.
Pravin Mishra
Wing commander Praveen will run today for a noble cause. He has finished one of the deadliest marathon Leh Marathon and another marathon in Nagpur. He is also a cyclist and has cycled from Manali to Leh and from Bhopal to Dodi. He recently ran for Marble Rock Run at Jabalpur along with his father, daughter and his wife. He told Free Press that today he will run with his wife and both his daughters. He has also been awarded with jeewan raksha padak for saving two lives in Bhopal Lake.
Zainul Abideen
Moradabad based ultra-runner- Zainul, who stood second in Kargil interventional run, also holds the record of fastest male runner in the Golden Triangle of India (Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Delhi). He completed this race in 7 days and 22 hours. Zainul told Free Press that he runs an organisation at his native town Moradabad to motivate people to run and his motive for running today is the same and also to make people aware of ultra-running.
Ishu Garg
She is a Delhi based ultra-runner and a passionate mountaineer. She told Free Press that she want to become a successful mountaineer for which she has started ultra-running to increase her stamina. She was the first women to complete 120 km of Kargil-Dras interventional run. She also ran 270 km to support women empowerment. She also ran on Bhati trail which is considered as one of the toughest trails in India. She told Free Press that it is very difficult for one to find organ when in need, so she want to aware people about organ donation today.
Mayank Raghuvanshi
By profession Mayank is into construction and movie production but he is also a runner and cyclist by passion. He was also given title of Iron Man last year. He has cycled from Manali to Leh. Mayank said he wants to check his endurance and also motivate people for organ donation and to stay fit.
