- Road workers in Tasmania were caught out marking lines over a dead wallaby
- A local man saw crews painting lines near his house and went to check the work
- Tasmanian government spokesperson said the incident was 'disappointing'
Road workers have been called out by a man who noticed they painted directly over a wallaby carcass while marking out white street lines.
The Tasmanian man said he saw road crews painting the lines out the front of his house and went to check their work after they had finished.
The stunned man then posted a video of his discovery to social media, telling the camera, 'That is literally the f***ing definition of lazy.'

The white road lines were painted over the wallaby's head with no effort to remove the animal.
The less-than-professional work was done on the Arthur Highway, about 50km east of Hobart on November 17.
'Apparently the council is supposed to go through and clean debris off the road before its painted,' the man, who did not wish to be named, told Yahoo News.
'There's literally this big gap in the lines now.'
A spokesperson for Tasmania's Department of State Growth said that it was not standard practice to paint lines over the top of roadkill.
'It is best practice for our pavement marking contractor to inspect the site before any line marking is undertaken, and it is disappointing to see that this hasn't occurred on this occasion,' the spokesperson said.
