Man killed with bricks in Haryana's Dhanana

AMBALA: The Shahzadpur police have booked an accused identified as Mahipal, a resident of Dhanana village under section 302 (punishment for murder) after he brutally killed a resident of his village, Rajpal (52) hitting him with bricks on Friday late night. The police have registered a case on the complaint of Rajpal’s nephew Sandeep Kumar.


As per the First Information Report (FIR), Sandeep stated that “My father and uncle live together in the same house and at around 10.30pm on Friday night we received the information at home that Mahipal is brutally thrashing my uncle Rajpal with bricks and stones. I and my cousin Manish Kumar reached the spot and witnessed that the accused was thrashing my uncle with bricks and stones, we tried to catch him but he managed to escape. He received serious injuries on his face and other parts of his body and he was lying unconsciously on the ground in the pool of blood. We informed our family members and took my uncle to Shahzadpur Community Health Center (CHC), where the doctors declared him brought dead. Mahipal had an old rivalry with him, and they had some scuffles earlier as well.”


After receiving the information, about the murder the police reached the Shahzadpur CHC from where the dead body of the deceased was taken to Naraingarh Hospital for the post-mortem from where the deceased's body was handed over to the family members for the last rites.


Shahzadpur SHO sub-inspector Satbir Singh said, "After receiving the information we registered a case of murder, and the search is on and we are sure an arrest will be made by today evening."
