Second Additional Special Judge for CBI cases G. Satya Prabhakara Rao on Friday convicted LIC India Port Branch former Assistant Administrative Officer Anitha V Jaiswal alias Velagapalli Annie alias Marjorie Anitha in a fund misappropriation case.

The court sentenced her to two years of rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of ₹10,000.

According to communiqué issued by the CBI, Anitha V. Jaiswal was working as Assistant Administrative Officer at the Port Branch office of LIC India between 2001 and 2003.

She used her official position to misappropriate ₹3. 82 lakh, by using forged documents.

After completion of the trial, the CBI court convicted Anitha V Jaiswal under relevant sections and ordered that the sentence awared to her should run concurrently.
